Spindrift, “Round Up,” Xemu Records
We bring a long running series of heavy videos from Spindrift’s “Classic Soundtracks Vol. 1″ to a close with a light hearted “Round Up.” It’s the directorial debut of the band’s own Sasha Vallely who had such a riot working with the wild roster of directors on previous videos for the album that she decided to shoot one of her own. Vallely, who was also an extra in Ward Robert’s “Dust Up,” chose him to be the main character in this slapstick bar fight filmed at Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, originally created in the 40′s as a living movie set.

Giving the people what they want is one thing. Making nearly the exact same movie a second time, but shifting the setting to Thailand, is just … what, lazy? Arrogant? Maybe a combination of the two. That’s essentially what director Todd Phillips has done.

ATLANTA, Ga. — One of the greatest gifts in life — is time.
Time with family.
Doctors have told the family that Magdalene may have only a few more hours, maybe a few more days.
But Magdalene’s husband, Roger Watson of East Point, was running out of time to get Mable to Magdalene’s bedside.
Because Mable is from Trinidad and Tobago.
“If they have to wait until they get the paperwork from Missouri, it’ll probably be next year” before Mable could reach Magdalene, Roger said on Tuesday.
11Alive’s Help Desk and Bill Liss jumped in, and asked Georgia Congressmen David Scott and John Lewis to help, along with the U.S. State Department.
