Right after his win he told CNN: “I was expecting that Carson would call Dia’s [Frampton] name and I was just prepared to hug her and tell her that I loved her. But then he called my name and I was just not expecting it.”

LOS ANGELES Six weeks after Arnold Schwarzenegger revealed he had fathered a child out of wedlock, his wife Maria Shriver filed divorce papers Friday to end their marriage of 25 years.

The former television journalist and Kennedy family heir cited irreconcilable differences but offered no additional details about the breakup.

She also did not list a date when the couple separated, although they announced they had done so on May 9.

A week later, the former action star and former governor admitted he fathered a child with a member of his household staff years ago.

Shriver’s filing does not indicate the couple has a prenuptial agreement, which likely means Schwarzenegger’s earnings from his career as a Hollywood megastar will be evenly divided with his estranged wife.

She is seeking spousal support but any amount would be determined later, either through a settlement agreement or by a judge. Read the rest of article…

Maria Shriver cited “irreconcilable differences” in a petition filed Friday to dissolve her 25-year marriage to former California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The move comes more than a month after Schwarzenegger acknowledged that he fathered a child outside of his marriage.

The couple announced their separation on May 9, calling it a mutual decision made “after a great deal of thought, reflection, discussion, and prayer.”

It became clear a week later that the split was triggered by Schwarzenegger’s revelation to his wife that he had fathered a child with his housekeeper.

“After leaving the governor’s office I told my wife about this event, which occurred over a decade ago,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement May 17. Read the rest of article…

GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Bridge jumpers, beware.

Police are warning teens, especially, and all others who make a sport of jumping off of Lake Lanier bridges — you’ll end up not just in the drink, but possibly in the cooler, as well.

Which is reminding movie buffs of the scene in “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,” where the central characters are on the run, trapped on a high cliff above a river, and the only way out is to jump.

Robert Redford says, “I can’t swim!”

Gainesville Police are pretty much using the same line to warn teens not to make this another summer of jumping off of Lake Lanier bridges for the fun of it — the fall will probably kill you and if it doesn’t, a judge may fine you and even put you in jail for up to 12 months.
