The Supervillains

Reggae sensation, “The Supervillains,” returns to House of Rock on Saturday, July 23rd along with special guests Eleven Fingered Charlie and The Crew.  Tickets are on sale now!

Signed by Rah Rah Rah Records, The Supervillains are one of the most recognizable names in reggae, as well as one of the hardest touring reggae acts, averaging 200+ shows a year. They’ve toured and preformed with some of the nation’s hottest acts, including The Wailers, Slightly Stoopid, Pepper, Reel Big Fish, Fishbone, and The English Beat.

This year, The Supervillains released “Postcards from Paradise”, the long-awaited follow-up to their 2008 breakout album “Massive” on LAW Records. The album represents a fresh take for a band that has constantly evolved its sound since the beginning, volleying between roots-ska and punk with a heavy reggae influence. Check out their website to watch lives videos and listen to their music: http://blog.thesupervillains.com/.

An acoustic blend of reggae, bluegrass, and coastal rock music will be filling the room as ‘The Crew’ takes the stage as support for our good friends, The Supervillains. ‘The Crew’ consists of lead singers/songwriters of Shark Attack, Mama Tried, and Footpie. They will be arriving on boat, as their tour takes them around the Texas coast, with a stop in Corpus Christi.  You can listen to the bands and get more information at TheBeeRoom.com.

You won’t want to miss this action-packed night as The Supervillains, Eleven Fingured Charlie and The Crew rock out on stage. Doors open at 8:00 pm, and advance tickets are on-sale at House of Rock, Disc Go Round, and on-line at www.texashouseofrock.com.
