Say Something – streetpoetryacademics presents “A Night of Soulful Beats: Live Spoken Word, Poetics, Oral Culture Wordsmith Lounge” on Friday, June 17th at Aria Sky Terrace & Lounge.  Say Something, is a Live Spoken Word event in which poets, wordsmiths, and artists gather to perform their piece.

The event has five styles of spoken word that can be categorized under spiritual, high energy, controversial/political, storytelling and MC flow. There are 20 participants from San Antonio, Corpus Christi & McAllen. There will be live dj sets by DJ DVS and DJ Nova Soul who will provide a mixture of hip-hop and neo soul music throughout the event.
